Many potential users have asked to see a demo of CASES 5. At the moment, that can be done either by visiting CSM (in Berkeley) or visiting one of the current member organizations that use CASES. If neither of those options is convenient, you can click on one of the links below for a simulated demonstration of a survey created using CASES.

CSM has developed a demonstration instrument for Association members. The screen shots from that instrument have been put into a slideshow presentation, which can be run from your browser. When you run CASES, what is displayed on the computer screen is a graphical form. The graphical forms were created in the CASES Instrument Development Environment (IDE) and are comprised of a variety of objects which we call controls. To see this presentation, click here. Graphical forms can also be created automatically from a text file by the Questionnaire Translator (QT) program. Thus, they are referred to as QT-created graphical forms. This style of instrument is called all-text. The types of controls for entering data are limited to text boxes, option buttons and command buttons. A single instrument may contain both IDE-created and QT-created graphical forms to give the instrument designer maximum flexibility. QT-created forms may then be modified in the IDE if desired.
